For the final leg of our trip, we drove from Lisbon down south to the Algarve region, along the southern coast of the country. The above photo was taken at the beach in Sagres. One good thing about traveling during shoulder season is getting places like this all to ourselves!

The sun came out and decided to stay with us for the remainder of our stay:
We drove west to the Capo do SaƵ Vicente (Cape St. Vincent) to see the lighthouse.
This was once thought to be the edge of the world:
But now it’s known as the southwestern-most point in Europe.
Heading east, we stopped in Lagos, where the cove beach did not disappoint.
